Eligibility Criteria

You can be eligible for the free home insulation grant even if your household is not on benefits. The grant is offered under two categories: general group (where property should be located in qualifying SAP band) and low-income group (where household should be on benefits).

You Can Apply Only If

You are a Homeowner or somebody living with him/her at the same address.
Your property has an EPC rating below D.
Property should be located in Council Tax Band from A to D (A to E for Scotland & Wales).
You receive ECO4 qualifying government benefits if applying under the low-income group.
Your property has a timber/pitched roof structure to get free loft insulation.
Existing old loft insulation has thickness less than 100mm.
For cavity wall insulation, your property has never installed it before.
